Hiking Mount Harvey

Stunning views from atop the North Shore Mountains

Mount Harvey turned out to be a beautiful hike. Yes, there was the steady uphill through the trees but for most of the last one hour of the uphill you’re rewarded with ocean, island, or mountain views.

Mount Harvey is one of Vancouver’s North Shore Mountains. You feel on top of the world enjoying the sights of the surrounding mountains as well as the sights of the ocean and beyond looking to Vancouver Island as well as the Sunshine Coast and all the islands within Howe Sound. The panoramic views at the top are wonderful. There was little wind and mostly clear skies.

Val and Donna hiked Mount Harvey on October 9th, 2017, on Canada’s Thanksgiving holiday. The fall colours were beautiful and the slight fall coolness made for great hiking weather.
